We’ve been fans of the Twilight books and at the end of this month, the 3rd novel, Eclipse, will be released in movie form. What better way to celebrate the flick than to wear a wolf head headband to the showing.
We can’t get enough of Gabriela Artigas’ jewelry. From the delicate knot rings to this little number pictured above, we love it all! We’re excited to announce that we’ll be bringing in a few pieces from Gabriela’s latest collection, 1300. Expect to see the daintier pieces in store soon. We can’t wait!
It’s me again, the Steven Alan Ella skirt.
So, I’ve been thinking. I’ve been hanging around in Josef Boutique for a while, and I’m a little confused. You see, I thought I was really, really cute. I look great with simple tops, sweaters, you name it. I’d probably even look good with opaque black tights in the winter. But alas, no one has taken me home. Some crazy person named Mary has tried me on three times, believing that my size can change at will. I think she might buy me and replace my lovely, high waistband with elastic. I can’t bear that sort of trauma.

By the way: For today’s post, I had to decide to either impersonate my favorite skirt OR commemorate Tim Allen’s birthday. Believe me, it was a hard decision. I plan to hold a private celebration by watching Home Improvement reruns and idolizing Al’s legendary flannel ensembles on Tool Time.
French illustrator and photographer Garance Doré captures beautiful, stylish women from all over the world on her blog. I remember seeing this image on her site a while ago and loving how eclectic and unique a simple denim shirt can look, depending on how one wears it:
Even though denim tops have been all over the place for months now, there’s still a stigma attached to them, as if they can’t be fashionable. Let’s face it—you don’t see many cowboys in Menlo Park, so I think you can safely call the trend your own. This Paul & Joe Sister button-down looks cool with just about anything—you can also leave it unbuttoned, sort of like a jacket over a T-shirt or a tank top. Garance Doré always knows best. Très chic, no?

We’re happy to announce the arrival of our Rachel Comey Summer pieces! Based in New York, Rachel’s prints are organic and colorful. We think she makes a fantastic addition to the shop’s offering. The best part are the tags that say, “Made in Midtown Manhattan, USA”.
I was supposed to blog today — I had ice cream instead. Loving the cuffed sleeves.

Thanks to all who came out to celebrate our first birthday in Menlo Park! Lauren and Josh of Josh Podoll stopped by to say hi. They’re standing in front of their rack, and Lauren’s wearing the winged blouse. Cute, no?
We also unveiled our giveaways, limited edition totes (printing by Black.Stamp). It’s not too late to get yours.
Chouchou of chouchouslittleworld also popped in for a visit.
It was a wonderful birthday weekend. We won’t forget our first because all of you made it special!
Felicia’s getting creative with the storefront, and we have lovely flowers painted on the windows! There is a great selection of summer clothes at Josef right now. Here are a few of my top picks for the summer:
These Paul & Joe Sister sandals are on my radar. I can’t decide which ones to get though…hold me back…

2. I’ve been eying this pullover Steven Alan sweater for a while. Right now in the store, it’s paired with some fabulous Wren shorts. I love the stripes with floral! Might need the shorts too…

It looks like summer is finally here, and Market’s easy, boyfriend-cut T-shirts and tank dresses have arrived just in time! Based in San Francisco, Market is a line of cotton-blend basics. We think the V-necks would look great with jeans or tucked into a pair of summer-y shorts.

Market Maggie Tank Dress (45), available at store in black and a beach-worthy blue.
