Superfine jeans in store now

Superfine jeans starting at $194

In addition to Found Denim we’ve added Superfine to our jeans roster. Designed in London, the styles in store are skinny, one is cropped with zippers at the ankle and another has a stretch jersey panel along the inseam.

For Fall we like grey and black denim. Give your indigo jeans a rest, and invest in one of these great looking pairs. True to our aesthetic, the pockets are clean and the line is long.

Sun’s Out Guns Out

Hahaha. Sorry about the title of this post, Felicia. I couldn’t help myself…

I have at least 4 oversized denim shirts that I’ve acquired from various sources (thrift stores, my grandfather’s closet, etc). I wear them religiously in the winter; they look great under sweaters or peacoats with a big scarf wrapped around my neck. However, I’m not really sure what to do with them in the warmer seasons. Every time I try to throw one over a tank top and pants or shorts, my sister gives me a quizzical look and says, “Umm, that looks really bad.” I saw this post on Garance Doré today that caught my eye. Garance seems to have the same problem with big denim shirts (is that a common problem??) and I like her idea of cutting off the sleeves to show off your arms and look a bit less dowdy:

I think I’ll try this with one of my shirts and see how it goes.

In other news, BLONDIE is playing at the Fillmore on Wednesday night! I’d kill to see the one and only Debbie Harry in concert. There’s a chance I’ll shell out some cash and check out the concert.

All the Rage

Found Denim Founders Lana Cretz and Sara Watson

Found Denim’s ‘Sew and Destroy Party’ (taken from the Los Angeles Times by Melissa Magsaysay)

Click here to find out more!

Found Denim designers Lana Cretz and Sara Watson set out to “destroy” jeans last night during a party held at the Revolve Clothing store in West Hollywood. The duo worked behind sewing machines and a table full of gadgets that looked like medieval torture tools, custom nicking, ripping and slashing jeans for anyone who bought a pair of Found jeans during the event.

For those who turned to the pros at last night’s event, there were plenty of soft tacos fresh from a taco truck and Champagne to keep them occupied while waiting for their jeans to get wrecked.

If you don’t know Found, it’s a denim line to watch or try on, if you’re in the market for a new pair of jeans. Cretz was the creative director at AG and Hudson before launching the Found label with Watson two years ago, and they’ve nailed a great fit, especially with the Symone skinny jean and Abilene wide leg. Nicking not required, but judging by the hip crowd at last night’s party, it’s clearly what the cool kids are doing.

We want trouser leg jeans!

Found Denim Abilene Jeans available in store

These are the jeans we’ve been wanting for Fall. As we’re getting closer to our trip to NYC, these are the jeans we’re imagining wearing to the showrooms with a Steven Alan navy on white striped tee, Wren khaki anorak and the perfect pair of brown suede moccasins. When it gets colder, how cute will they look with chunky sweaters. They were great in the summer with little cami tops and they’re going to transition beautifully into the cold months. Since they’re Found Denim, they’re going to make our behinds look amazing. The wash is between dark and super faded. They run long, so call on your alterations expert and give them a heads up.
