Twinkle Vine Belt in Grey Leather

Twinkle Zipper Belt in Navy Blue Leather

Belts. Yep, that's what we got in this week from Twinkle by Wenlan! We have the Twisted Vine Belt (119) and the Zipper Belt (180) available in store. Both are made of crinkled patent leather. The Vine Belt comes in a dove gray, while the Zipper Belt comes in a rich navy blue. These belts are meant to be worn at your natural waist. Size up if you'd like to wear them lower on the hips. On display at the shop, we styled the vine belt with the Steven Alan McCarren Dress. Too cute! The navy belt looks great worn over a tank and a fine knit cardigan with skinny jeans and sandals. Never thought you were a belt girl? These two will make you reconsider.

The Steven Alan Show

This summer all we want are Steven Alan clothes. Walking around town in the warm spring breeze wearing the McCarren Dress with a medium width leather belt and gladiator sandals seems to be the perfect outfit for any casual occasion. We also love the Buoy Top, the Ksubi Mac Jeans cuffed and tan wedge sandals as another warm-weather outfit. In fact, all our SA blouses look fantastic with the Macs. For weekend trips to Vegas, the Paige Top is just right. Lastly, for dressier occasions like weddings, showers and birthday parties, the Soma dress will go far with flats, heels, sandals and even booties. Accessorize with a mini shoulder bag, drop or hoop earrings and a flashy men's size watch. If you only buy 3 or 4 items this season, consider pieces from Steven Alan's Spring Collection. Happy Friday everyone!

In search of the perfect wedge sandal

As the weather gets warmer, we think your late spring and summer go-to shoes should be wedge sandals. They go with jeans, leggings, skirts, shorts, dresses, and even those pleated trousers you've been seeing a lot of lately. We can't seem to find our perfect pair yet, but have narrowed it down to the choices pictured above. However, we're still looking...

How to wear bold prints

Here at Josef we love bold prints and color because they set us apart in a sea of neutrals and solids. For beginners we suggest a printed accessory such as a scarf, headband, or small clutch. Try only one print at a time. To work wear a silk or cotton scarf around your neck with jeans or trousers and a solid top. Something like the Paul & Joe Sister Zeph Sweater is very easy to accessorize with print.

If you'd like to take prints one step further, we suggest wearing a printed blouse. Prints are more effortless than you think. Wear the printed blouse with your favorite pair of jeans or tucked in or out of a skirt or pair of pants. If it's a little bit chilly, throw on a thin knit cardigan in a complimentary color or pick a color from the print itself. One of our favorite printed blouses that we're obsessing over is the Anna Sui Butterfly Tunic.

The next step to wearing prints is putting together an entire printed outfit. Impossible? Never. It's actually the easiest way to wear prints if you think about a dress as an outfit. It's true. A printed dress can be paired with flats, sandals, pumps, and boots. In the winter wear a cardigan and jacket over the dress and in the summer wear the dress with a leather jacket or fine knit sweater. Like we said before, we're all about the prints here and we're loving the Yoana Baraschi Poppy Field dress. So try a little print in tomorrow's outfit. We're sure it'll add a little spring to your step. Happy Monday everyone!
